PDP Crisis: Obasanjo Continues With Mediation Role

In a bid to ensure that the crisis rocking
the PDP is resolved, the Former
President Olusegun Obasanjo is
continuing with his mediation role so as
to see an end to the crisis.
He is currently meeting with the
leadership of the party right now in Abuja
today.
Reports say the meeting will be followed
by another one this evening, where the
president is expected to meet with the
warring factions in the party.
Journalists were barred from coverage or
interviewing members of the party while
making their entrances into a hiding place
in the presidential villa.
They were also barred from getting close
to house 7, the venue of the meeting with
instruction to deal with anyone who
attempts to come close for coverage.
The PDP crisis according to aggrieved
members is long overdue with the
unjustifiable treatment and operations of
the party by the National Chairman of the
Party, Bamanga Tukur.
